The most effective approach.

These days, Google is where the patient finds your physical address, gets driving directions and clicks a button to call your practice instantly. Even before they've arrived at your website they've seen reviews from your previous patients and have an idea (accurate or not) of whether you're a viable option for them. So, what should they see when they land on your homepage? Is it a dissertation on the technical aspects of your services that they need to see? Is it a list of the Insurance Providers you're contracted with that will be most useful?
